lawrence johnson [ 1950 - ]
LAWRENCE JOHNSON has been making films since his childhood and has developed a national reputation for his historical and cultural documentary and films for musueums across the country. Many of his films have been seen on Public Broadcasting stations across the country. He has created films for museums such as Smithsonian Institution, the Washing-ton State History Museum and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Johnson has taugh cinematography at the Portland Art Museum' s Northwest Film Center and has completed several residences through its Filmmaker-In-Schools program. Stuff will be his first personal documentary.

".... từ lầu 1 Starbucks Coffee ( quận Phú nhuận. tp. HCM ) , nhìn ra ngoài hành lang; tôi và Johnson uống cà phê nóng; riêng Michael uống sữa. Tay thông ngôn tiếng việt cừ khôi lại đưa máy ảnh bấm thêm vài 'pô' -- Johnson đưa tay quàng vai tôi ngồi trên ghế bành. Michael bấm revise cho tôi xem tấm ảnh vừa chụp, anh cho tôi biết,
" Mỹ đưa 3 triệu 500 ngàn quân sang tham chiến ở Việt nam, khi rút quân về, chỉ còn khoảng 8 trăm ngàn."
Lawrence Johnson cũng cho biết, anh mới từ Malaysia qua, anh được mời sang dạy quay phim cho một trường đai học nào đó -- họ biết tiểu sử, tác phẩm nhà làm phim Lawrence Johnson, chỉ cần bấm vào Google -- là biết được ngay nhà làm phim kỳ cựu nổi tiếng; từng là cựu G.I. sang chiến đấu ở Việt nam .
Lần này, chúng tôi chuyện trò rôm rả , cởi mở hơn những lần trước : phỏng vấn, quay hình -- Johnson cho biết , chiều hôm sau, anh trở về Oregon -- và, 2 năm nữa có thể gặp nhau ở Oregon, khi nhà làm phim trình chiếu phim anh thực hiện ở Việt nam. ...."
